Fudgy, rich, super chocolaty, studded with delicious things. If I were to say I had a “vice,” it would probably be brownies (or ice cream – tough call).
While I do love my black bean brownies (see the naturally sweetened version here), sometimes I want to have a dessert that doesn’t have beans in it. Ya know?
If you have the same feelings, this is the recipe for you.
By now you’ve probably guessed I’m a chocolate fiend. Something in my lady DNA craves it EVERY SINGLE DAY. Gotta have it. Sometimes that craving can be satisfied with a single square of dark chocolate, a bite of chocolate ice cream, or a healthified black bean brownie. BUT, some days I need a seriously decadent brownie to do the trick.
These are those brownies.
These brownies are seriously decadent and only take about 30 minutes from start to finish. The ingredients are basic, too:
dairy-free butter
sugar
flax eggs
cocoa powder
baking powder
vanilla
sea salt
flour
esides being simple they’re insanely delicious. The edges have a slight crispness and the inside is all fudgy, chocolaty goodness. Plus, you don’t have to dirty a knife cutting into them – they’re already baked into bite-size deliciousness. How convenient

This recipe on uses 9 basic ingredients and if you don’t have any of the seeds or oats on hand, just leave them out because their purpose is not for form, flavour and only a small , function. But thanks to the elephant in the room, the breads green completion, yoyu wont niotive the seeds are missing.
So about this green bread! Not to worry, this is natural and exactly how you should expect your loaf to turn out, when its perfect! The green colour comes for a reaction with the sunflower seeds in THE PLANT BASE mix and Bicarbonate of soda. Sunflower seeds contain chlorophyll, also known as chlorogenic acid and when you combine this acid with bicarb and heat it, the seeds become a vibrant green colour.
After a short bake in the oven, these little gems are ready! Let cool briefly, slice, and dig in. The amazing thing is they’re delicious warm, room temperature, and cold. So store them at home or take them along with you throughout the day when you need a sweet, energizing snack.
We hope you LOVE these brownies! They’re:
