Ingredients
-1 x 400 ml tin coconut milk (you can use nut milk if you prefer)
-1 cup (250ml) water
– 1/2 tsp cinnamon
– 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
– 1/2 tsp ginger (you can use fresh grated ginger but then I suggest reducing it to a 1/4 tsp and add more once you’ve tasted the golden milk)
– 1 Tbsp organic turmeric powder (use fresh (grated) turmeric if you have)
– 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional but try it at least once, if gives a great warm zing)
– black pepper (a big pinch)
– 1/4 tsp vanilla powder or extract
– 1/2 tsp coconut oil
– 1-2 tsp Agave/ Rice malt syrup/coconut sugar or raw honey, taste and add more if desired.
Method
1.Place all ingredients into a small pot, on a medium heat. All the golden milk to simmer for 2 minutes.
2. Either have as is at this stage or place into a jug blender or nutribullet (be cautious and let it cool a bit if using a nutribullet). This will make the milk light and frothy. ALTERNATIVELY: Place all ingredients into a milk frother.
